The SMS cheerleading squad is comprised of 7th and 8th grade students who demonstrate an interest in displaying school spirit and sportsmanship. As a member of the squad, each student is expected to be a "cheerleader" for the SMS Tigers, on and off the field. In addition to demonstrating school pride and spirit, cheerleaders are expected to display leadership skills by setting positive examples for their peers.
